Wyatt Ranches Foundation has granted the DPSTF with $60,000 for scholarships, 100% fully funded for the fourth consecutive year. We are renaming our scholarship program the “Wyatt Ranches Foundation, DPS Troopers Foundation Scholarship program.” The application period for this year's scholarship will open on April 15th.

Trooper Carlos Ray Warren was shot and killed in 1991 on SH 71 East of Austin. 33 years later DPS honors his sacrifice by dedicating a new Tactical Marine Unit with his name. The Troopers who worked with Carlos purchased a highway memorial sign that DPSOA worked to get passed in the Legislature. That highway memorial will be erected when highway construction is completed near Hwy 71 and Toll Road 130.
