Ky Ash previously served as State Budget Director for Texas Governor Greg Abbott, as well as the Governor’s designee Chair for the Texas Bond Review Board. Before his time in the Governor’s office, Ky spent the better part of two decades in the Texas House of Representatives serving as Chief of Staff and Legislative Director for former State Representative Jim Keffer. As Chief of Staff for then-Representative Keffer, Ky also served as Chief Clerk for several Texas House committees, including Ways and Means, Energy Resources, Economic Development and the Select Committee on Property Tax Relief. Prior to joining HBS, Ky served as Government Affairs Advisor at K&L Gates.
Myra Leo served as Chief of Staff for the first Hispanic woman elected to the Legislature, former State Representative Irma Rangel. As Chief of Staff for then-Representative Rangel, Myra managed all legislative policy, including appropriations, redistricting, healthcare, education and transportation. During this tenure, she served as the Director of the Mexican-American Legislative Caucus, managing policy issues on behalf of the Caucus members. Myra’s experience also includes having served as the Intergovernmental Relations Manager for the City of San Antonio, where she was responsible for managing federal, state and local matters on behalf of the City. Prior to joining HBS, Myra served as Government Affairs Advisor at K&L Gates.
