Forty-Three Years later; It still matters.

Trooper Howard Jordan made the ultimate sacrifice serving the State of Texas. In 1981 he was killed in the line of duty in Texarkana. Last session the Texas Legislature passed a bill to allow for his highway memorial on U.S. 67. 43 years has passed, since his death. We move on, the family however, still lives it daily. It is important that we never forget those who pay the price, serving the State of Texas and its citizens. The DPS Troopers Foundation purchased the memorial sign. TxDOT sets the cost, the funds have to come from private donations. There are plenty of signs to purchase, and the Foundation while not the repository for fundraising, seems to be doing most of the work. If you are able, please donate.  The link to do that is: Highway Renaming Projects (texasdpsoa.com).
