Trooper Chad Walker was ambushed while responding to a motorist assist in Limestone County near Mexia, Texas on March 26, 2021. The suspect fired at Trooper Walker before he was able to stop his vehicle, striking him in the head and abdomen. At approximately 8:45 p.m. on April 6, 2019, Trooper Sanchez
approached a two-vehicle crash scene in Edinburg. The driver of one of
the vehicles fled the scene and later shot Trooper Sanchez. The suspect
